Rome loses another fine citizen

Rome recently lost another one of its fine citizens.

Sid Stockholm was the quintessential community minded guy who used his business acumen and people skills to do all that was necessary to assist his fellow neighbors and Rome residents.

We at the Michelle Adey Memorial Fund are forever grateful for his support in helping launch the first Michelle Adey Open Golf Tournament in 1984.

He and the late Bud DiMaggo were the catalysts who made this fund raiser the success that it continues to be today. As a result, the Michelle Adey Fund is still helping children who suffer from life-threatening illnesses in our area. To date, this fund has assisted a great many families providing over $750,000 in grants. These families throughout our area who have benefited from the Michelle Adey Fund should be aware of the role that Mr. Sid Stockholm played.

We all owe a debt of gratitude to Mr. Stockholm. May he rest in peace.
